I AM KATIE WESTBROOK.
A creative soul with a passion for Graphic Design, specialising in customised designs for Chalkboards and Signage.
After graduating from a degree in Technical Arts and Special Effects at Wimbledon College of Art (UAL), my passion for working creatively within the hospitality industry was initially fulfilled by starting my own Chalkboard Design business, K-boards in 2017.
Using a combination of Graphic Design and Hand-Drawing I create unique and memorable Chalkboards for a variety of businesses across London. I solidify my clients’ brand identity through customised design. I have now transformed the identity of many venues e.g. Burlock and 68 & Boston from The Breakfast Group, The Folly, The Listing and The Fable from Drake & Morgan, many venues within the Antic Pubs Co. and The Comedy Store.
Since starting K-Boards, I have broadened my creative skill set. I gained skills in Vinyl Graphics production and installation whilst working at Onward Display Ltd. Following this, I worked as an in-house Graphic Designer for the pub chain East London Pub Co. delivering original posters, menus, vinyl’s and chalkboards across 3 venues. Alongside this, I freelanced for the Italian Pasta Brand La Tua Pasta, designing their marketing materials and packaging for their pasta & sauces which are featured at various retailers e.g M&S, Milk & More and Amazon Fresh.
